1.  Use the problem 15 + 7 to explain (in words) how to use the "make a ten" strategy.

2.  Explain another way or another strategy that you could use to solve the same problem.

  1. 1.First you would need two ten frames.Next fill in 15 in those two ten frames. Then seven leftovers.Last take five of the leftovers and make two tens so the problem is 20+2=22
2.strategy bace ten blocks.Even tho the problem is 15+7 all HAM

  2. If I don't know 15+7 I can use the Make a ten strategy.I can use a ten frame to do the Make a ten strategy.

  3. 1.You can take 2 away from 7. then you put 5
with 15 that makes 20 that makes 22. 2.15+7=22 gz

  4. 1. you take the seven and you take the five and you take three from the five so you have two in the fives place .Now we have ten in the 7s place so now it is 10 plus 2.

  5. So if you take the 15 that would be the ten. Next you take 5 from the 7. Last the new problem is 20+2=22.

Another strategy you can use to figure out the problem is you can use base ten blocks. So you get one rod and five ones for the number 15. Then you get seven ones. Then you take 5 of those ones to make a ten and your new problem is 20+2=22.

  6. I would make the fifteen a twenty and the seven
    a two.So twenty ples two ecwles twenty-two.
Anather way I would do it is that I would stack
them on top of echather. Then I would add the ones place and seven ples five is 12.After that
I add the tens and ten ples ten is twenty. So
twenty ples two is twenty-two. -nl
